WIPS Week of May 31st through June 6th

Yarn That I Got This Week

This is all the yarn I got this week. I had to go back today on the 6th to get more yarn for my hat that I'm making on the right side.

Finished Projects of the Week

I started this hat on Wednesday based on this YouTuber named D'Angelo Wallace (in the picture on the far right) who talks about social media issues and controversy. In some of his videos he wears hats and one of them I really enjoyed so much that I wanted to recreate so I tried. The problem I had was tat I made the hat too long so it went from a beanie to a slouchy beanie, but I will still be using it and trying to make the hat again. If anyone wants a pattern for this hat comment down below. I still had a lot of fun making this hat.

This is my second finished project of this week. These are called ear savers. What they do is relieve pressure from the ears when wearing a medical mask, the elastic goes around the buttons instead of the ears. I made these for some people I saw having issues with their mask. I originally made two of them but the one that is shown above I have to redo because it was too small. This is based off other peoples patterns.

WIPS of The Week

The first work in progress I have is the head of an amigurumi lion. This project is for a friend of my mom's and this is made from a pattern. The pattern maker's name is Divya and the URL is: Crochet lion amigurumi – Pattern (Free)

So if you are interested in the lion check them out!

The second work in progress is a Yoshi amigurumi. This project is for me, I plan to put him next to my Hollow Knight (check out my Instagram for this project, it is the fourth most recent post). This project is created from a pattern. The pattern creator is named Beverley Arnold and the URL is: Baby Dinosaurs

So if you are interested in the yoshi check them out!

The third project is this I-cord project that I got from the thrift store. I had to redo it because the yarn was falling apart. I plan to wash the I-cord once I am done and then use the cord as yarn to create a blanket. I got a big crochet hook for this project.

The final work in progress is this jacket. This Instagram creator named Made You Hook aka Lynsay Lapuz made this jacket in honor of her father who taught her how to crochet as a kid. I just fell in love with the design of this jacket, so I got the pattern and yarn as soon as the pattern came out. The URL is Hook Squad Baja Jacket where you can check out the pattern.

Thank you so much for reading this first WIPS Week post! The next post will be next week on Sunday at noon, so stay in tone for more content!
